Grand Lady Dance House is the hostname for performance and video projects directed and choreographed by Jennie Liu with a close, evolving group of artist collaborators. Since 2005 their work has been been presented at venues including the New York Film Festival, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The Mistake Room, the former Dance Theater Workshop, HERE Arts Center, The Bushwick Starr, Incubator Arts Center, REDCAT, the Live Arts Exchange festival with Show Box L.A., the Prelude Festival, and PAM, Highland Park.
She was recently awarded a Mike Kelley Foundation grant to curate a group exhibition engaging artists across disciplines to respond to the history of early modern dance in LA, produced by Pieter.
Current and past collaborators include Hannah Heller, Andrew Gilbert, devika wickremesinghe, Brian Getnick, Barry Brannum, Milka Djordjevich, Adam Linder, Big Dance Theater,Wendy Yang Bailey, Alexa Weir, Laura Mrockowski, Tanya Brodsky, Julia Bembenek and COMBAT, and Heather Christian.
